2010 Black Belt Camp will be upon us before we know it.  Don’t wait till the last minute! (as in, don’t wait till after worlds).

Registration should be in by July 24th.  Hope to see you all there! Camp Tecumseh always makes sure we have a wonderful event.

The World Tang Soo Do Association 2010 World Championship will be on July 16-18 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Dear Scholarship Applicants,

Yes its that time of year again…scholarship time!  -Oh, the daunting task of receiving money just never seems to end!    Attached is the scholarship package for Spring  2010.    As a reminder all graduating high school seniors and current college students, who are registered members in good standing with the World Tang Soo Do Association and their individual studio, are eligible to apply.  The award amount is currently $750.00 and the mailing address is in the package.  Also, since the original application is kept on file, any student who is re-applying only needs to submit a note indicating their intention to apply, a current college enrollment letter or transcript, and a newly completed instructor recommendation form.  To be eligible for consideration, the completed application or required documentation has to be received (not just “post marked”) by Mar. 27, 2010.

The paperwork for the Master’s Extravaganza is now online. This event is taking place October 9-11, 2009 in Northville, MI. Early registration is due by September 19, and all must be submitted by October 5.

The paperwork for the Region 5 Black Belt Camp is now available for download. The camp is scheduled for August 14,15,16, at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, IN

All WTSDA members ranked 1st gup or above are eligible to attend, and registration is due no later than July 14.

Attention all College Students and graduating High Schoolers!!!

The paperwork for the 2009 Region 5 Scholarship is now online.  The deadline for application is March 15. 2009.  All students are encouraged to apply for this award, and previous applicants are also welcome!

The paperwork for the 2009 Central Ohio Clinic is now available for download.  Please follow the registration directions carefully as there are some changes to the signup process.

The Central Ohio Clinic will be held February 6-8, 2009 in Columbus, Ohio.  Friday will feature the dan pre-test, an all-day clinic on Saturday, followed by a Black Belt workout on Sunday morning.

All WTDSA members are warmly invited to attend.

Photos from the 2008 Extravaganza are slowly coming online.  This year, we had three different photographers: Mr. Chris Baddeley, BTSD; Ms. Kelly Burke, BTSD; and Mr. Tom Marker, BTSD.  You can view the collection as it comes online here.

Congratulations to Alexis Bohland, 4th Gup, Buckeye Tang Soo Do, for being chosen as the recipient of the 2008 Region Five Scholarship!  Alexis received this award in a large part due to her service to BTSD as Treasurer and President, as well as her academic achievement and community service.  If you are interested in applying, we will soon be accepting applications for the next round.  Please stay tuned!
