2010 Region 5 Championship

Dear Scholarship Applicants,

Yes its that time of year again…scholarship time!  -Oh, the daunting task of receiving money just never seems to end!    Attached is the scholarship package for Spring  2010.    As a reminder all graduating high school seniors and current college students, who are registered members in good standing with the World Tang Soo Do Association and their individual studio, are eligible to apply.  The award amount is currently $750.00 and the mailing address is in the package.  Also, since the original application is kept on file, any student who is re-applying only needs to submit a note indicating their intention to apply, a current college enrollment letter or transcript, and a newly completed instructor recommendation form.  To be eligible for consideration, the completed application or required documentation has to be received (not just “post marked”) by Mar. 27, 2010.

The paperwork for the Master’s Extravaganza is now online. This event is taking place October 9-11, 2009 in Northville, MI. Early registration is due by September 19, and all must be submitted by October 5.

The Fall 2009 Region 5 Scholarship Application is now online! There are two versions of the application. One is an MS Word template which you can add information directly into the form fields. This may be handy for those of you who use MS Word. The other is an Adobe PDF version, which you can print out and complete. Whichever you decide to use, is up to you. Completed package must be returned to Master Perkins, by 9-30-09 as late applications will not be considered!

Also, any students who are re-applying for the scholarship, your original application is still on file. However, you’ll still need to send in some information: a.) a note indicating you are a re-applicant. b.) A current college enrollment letter or transcript. c.) A newly completed and signed instructor recommendation form (less the questions at the bottom of the page) verifying your current WTSDA membership and active student status.

All WTSDA members ranked 1st gup or above are eligible to attend, and registration is due no later than July 14.

Attention all College Students and graduating High Schoolers!!!

The paperwork for the 2009 Region 5 Scholarship is now online.  The deadline for application is March 15. 2009.  All students are encouraged to apply for this award, and previous applicants are also welcome!

The Central Ohio Clinic will be held February 6-8, 2009 in Columbus, Ohio.  Friday will feature the dan pre-test, an all-day clinic on Saturday, followed by a Black Belt workout on Sunday morning.

All WTDSA members are warmly invited to attend.
